Just Give Her a Pickle

While we were in West Jordan before Christmas, Austin was sitting on the floor eating pickles. Sadie crawled over to him and watched him the whole time. Finally we told Austin to just give her one. So he did.... and she loved it! She sucked on it and played with it and when we finally took it away she cried and cried.

Who knew she liked pickles so much?!!

What: Family Christmas party
Where: Temple Square to see the lights
When: The last monday night before Christmas
How: Take trax train to Temple Square from 7000 South

If you don't see the problem yet, I'll explain further.

4 hours roundtrip
15 minutes looking at lights
30 minutes waiting for part of party to use the bathroom
.
.
.
.
.
.
THE REST OF THE TIME WAITING FOR THE TRAIN FREEZING TO DEATH!!!

Morale of the story..... never take trax to Temple Square on the last monday before Christmas...... seriously....NEVER!!!!

ENOUGH SAID!

A wee bit behind!

Alright I might not be the best wife in the world and this might be a month late, but Happy Birthday Michael!! (Dec. 22)

We won't give Sadie a walker (we're really trying to limit her mobility) so she found her own. Her and this chair go many places together.

Christmas time activities

A Christmas tradition I had growing up was going to the Nutcracker every year. I thought Brylie was old enough this year so we gave it a try and she loved it. We had to go to the local production of it since we are in St. George. It was still really good. Hopefully next year we can go to it in Salt Lake.

We don't see snow very often around here, so when the first snowfall came last month my kids were beyond excited. We rounded up some snow clothes (some of it hand me downs from cousins since we don't buy many snow clothes) and layered them on. I realized that I had way over bundled my children for the tiny amount of snow we had. Cody could hardly move. Kinda reminded me of the little brother in Christmas Story!

Thought it was funny to have a picture of a cactus with Christmas lights and snow on it (courtesy of the neighbors).

Snow angels (more like grass angels)!

We have yet to see any more snow here. Hopefully that was our one and only snow fall for the season.

Making a gingerbread house with cousins and Grandma Bassett.

Disneyland Part Two

I took way too many pictures at Disneyland. Here are a few more of our fabulous vacation.

Stitch

Mulan

Goofy

Brylie was dying to get her face painted.

Alice and the Mad Hatter

Sleeping Beauty

Snow White

Cinderella

Brylie and Austin on the Jellyfish Drop

Tinkerbell

Silver Mist

Brylie remembered getting Cruella's signature last time we were at Disneyland and she was so excited to find her again. Cruella was so funny, she was disgusted that she had to sign Brylie's princess autograph book because she hates princesses.

Watching the fireworks.

Santa

Lightning McQueen

Mickey Mouse, Cody's favorite

Donald Duck

Sleeping baby

Dale (we got Chip's signature too)
