My Baby is 2!!!

Yesterday, Friday, my baby boy turned 2!! There are so many things we love about our little boy.

1. We love how cuddly you are. Especially when you come up to us with your arms open and say "hold you".

2. We even love how stubborn you are. When you get your mind set on something there is no going back. Your tantrums can always get a laugh out of us.

3. We love how obsessed you are with balls (basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, baseballs, etc). You can spot a ball a mile away and get so excited over it!

4. We love your smile - your really cheezy smiles and the goofy faces you make.

5. We love how ticklish you are and especially your sweet little laugh when you are getting tickled.

6. I love it when I put you to bed and you say "night night mama".

7. We love it how you gallop instead of walk when you are excited about things.

We are so happy to have our sweet little boy in our lives! It just wouldn't be the same without you Cody!!

We had a little birthday party for him yesterday. We got him a Mickey Mouse cake because he absolutely loves Mickey Mouse.

We got him a basketball standard for his birthday. Which he loves!! He even had to sleep with his basketball in his crib with him last night. He calls it "baketball".

Love his cheesy smile! He also got Thomas the Train train track and trains. He had so much fun watching them go around the track and then flipping the switch to make them stop. Over and over and over again!

We went to Pirate Island Pizza for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Bassett.

When they sang to him he didn't know what to think. Kind of had a deer in the headlight look.

But he really enjoyed his ice cream!

Weekend Visit

Last weekend we went to West Jordan to visit family. This was our last planned visit before the baby comes. We really enjoyed visiting everyone, but we didn't like the snow that came on Friday!

On Saturday morning we went to Cabela's for breakfast. We've always wanted to go to Cabela's, but since it was built after we moved, we just haven't had the chance. The kids especially enjoyed all the animals and the fish.

We went to Tanya and Doug's house after Cabela's to see their new addition to their house. Wesley and Cody sort of played together. They mostly fought over toys. It will be a little while before they become buddies (when they can learn to share).

One of the favorite things in Cabela's was the fish tanks. The kids loved seeing the big fish.

On Saturday I went to a Minerette reunion with a lot of my friends from drill team. There ended up being about 12 of us including one of our instructors. We had so much fun catching up. Some of them I haven't seen since graduation! I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pictures of us. Hopefully we can have more reunions soon and not wait another ten years!

We had a lot of fun last weekend. It always goes by way too fast! Next time up we'll have a new addition to our family!
